Fertilisers Bentonite
Fertilizer Bentonite is a specially processed bentonite clay used as a binding agent, granulation aid, and soil conditioner in the fertilizer industry. Its high swelling capacity and moisture retention make it ideal for forming granules and improving nutrient release in soil.
Uses:
1. Fertilizer Binding Agent: Bentonite acts as a natural binder during granulation of: NPK fertilizers, DAP/MAP granules, Urea, Micronutrient fertilizers (Zn, Fe, B, Mg), Organic/Bio fertilizers.
2. Sulphur Bentonite Production: Essential component in 90% sulphur bentonite fertilizers as it helps disperse sulphur evenly in soil, enhances oxidation of sulphur and improves availability to plants
3. Soil Conditioner & Improver: Improves water retention in sandy/porous soils, Enhances cation exchange capacity (CEC), Prevents nutrient runoff during irrigation, Increases microbial activity in soil
4. Carrier for Pesticides & Micronutrients: Used as a base for: Insecticides, Fungicides, Plant growth promoters, Micro-nutrient powders
